Perfect Peaking For Leaf Peeping

The club members that signed up for the Sunday Oct. 13th iteration of Ed’s 2019 Leaf Peeping Run lucked out with perfect weather.  Nippy temps at the early start warmed up to nice top down breezes.  Ed’s well mapped out 100+ mile route took us north from Barkhamstead CT. through Grandville MA. and the Berkshire foothills.

Autumn foliage colored the hills and valleys as we wound our way though countless little villages (each it seemed holding a Harvest Fair and village wide tag sale on Columbus Day weekend! )

We headed towards the 5 colleges area and crossed the Connecticut River in North Hampton. Then made our way south along scenic riverside back roads as we headed towards Skinner State Park and MT Holyoke.

The views from the peak of  MT. Holyoke were outstanding as was our lunch at the hidden gem that is the Boathouse Restaurant at Brunnelle’s Marina on the CT river in Hadley Ma.  Needless to say,  after our meal few of us resisted the temptation of continuing the run to partake in the outrageously delicious ice cream made on site at Moolicious Farm.
