Well folks, it has come to my attention that the Zoomin the Mountains of East Tennessee has published the dates and host hotel info…see link below

    May 29-June 2, 2024

A few of current Clubmembers have attended this event and had a good time.  I have been twice.  One of the organizers, Lori Haggerty, was at the Miata Reunion event in ’22.  Always nice to touch bases with her.

Let me know if there is any interest and feel free to post here.

this is NOT an official NMC event, but something another Club is doing that might be of interest to Clubmembers.

Wow this looks like fun! I plan on being there, that discount is rather generous as well.

Anyone know a good route to take, I’d be leaving from CT? I was thinking about taking the Blue Ridge Parkway for part of the drive. But Virginia is rather unfriendly towards out of staters, especially when we like to drive a little fast 🙂

This ends up being a fairly long trip…Wednesday to Monday…that way there is no killer 12-13hr straight thru ride…

last time I went it was just two of us…drive until tired…find hotel at large interchange…dinner/drinks…sleep and get there next day early enough to enjoy ourselves

We travel to South Carolina every winter towing a horse trailer from eastern Ct. We use Rt. 84 West to Scranton Pa. Than Rt. 81 South to  Rt. 77 South, but if you are going to Bristle Tn. onto Johnston Tn. you would stay on Rt. 81 South.  We traveled that route in mid January this year and the roads and surfaces for the most part were very good to excellent. It’s not the shortest route for us to take but traffic is usually pretty good and a smooth ride for our horse. You can also catch the Blueridge Parkway on the route. There a lot of lodging on that rout also, we try to stay at the Comfort Inns. Most of them have been remodeled in the last couple of years and we have had pretty good luck staying there. If you have any questions drop me an email.

That route mentioned above is exactly the way we went the last two times…and when we went to Miata reunion in AL…not the most fun but definitely good roads and plenty of places to stop
