Welcome to the 12th Wine and Dine.

Saturday, June 24th

Going on the west side of the state this year.

Starting point is New Guida’s Restaurant, 484 Meriden rd, Middlefield, Ct.

Please be there by 9:45 am, drivers meeting at 10:15 am for a 10:30 am start.

This run will take us to two vineyards and a restaurant.

Separate checks at all three stops.

Maybe an ice cream stop after the restaurant…..just saying.

Oh, for those who went last year… yes, both vineyards have slushies!

Please note 20 car limit.

I really enjoyed filming and editing the short video. I hope to do it again on the next run and try and improve my filming skills along with my editing skills. Its fun to make.

Just a heads up to all that were on the Wine/Dine ride on Saturday…I started the day with 14 radios…I have 13 radios right now…so someone still has one

 

Please return it at earliest time…at the autoX…monthly meeting…whatever

Hi All,

Had a great time on the Wine and Dine Run this past Saturday.  Weather did not cooperate but that did not deter everyone from having a wonderful and very enjoyable ride! The turnout was terrific and it was so great to be a part of this special day.  Big thanks to all involved for a very successful day.  Looking forward to the next run!

Many thanks to Dan & Sandy for the Wine & Dine yesterday. The roads were great and even with the rain, lots of fun driving them. Both wineries were good and no real crowds to hamper the tasting. I would have liked Keri as co-pilot but her schedule did not permit. I am sure she would have loved it.

Joan and Myself had a wonderful time yesterday on the run despite the changing weather. Excellent roads! Thanks and can not wait till the next one.

Many thanks to Dan and his wife for curating the route for this years’ wine and dine 2023.

Despite the pouring rain, it was a great turnout.  Me,  Ofie, and RED PPR  had a great time!

Can’t emphasize enough the help of Radio communications with Joe, Dan,  and Lance doing the sweep, kept us together.

Also great to see Nutmeg club members Excellent driving skills navigating the narrow twisties in blinding rain!

According to the weather-guesser just now we may not be in too bad shape…heavy rain moving out to the east now and clearing in the west…afternoon should be ok…fingers crossed

For anyone coming thru Waterbury on the way to the start point in Middlefield…I will be stopping on the East side of Watebury at

 

Ami’s Crispy Bagels and deli

2457 E Main St #2b,

Waterbury, CT 06705

 

Should be there right about 9:15 or so…best bagels this side of NYC

Then we can head over to the start point from there.  Very conveniently located right off I 84

 

I still have an open seat if anyone is interested in going for a ride

If there is anyone that did NOT get in on this, and would like to ride along…I have an empty seat…

 

Female wine persons?…no worry about driving…i am not the wine guy…lol!!

 

I just go for the ride and the social aspect…

So looking forward to our Wine and Dine this Saturday!! I’m sure its going to be great fun

Well…I guess that didn’t take long to fill up

 

a note to everyone on the signup list…if for some reason you cannot make it…please cancel your spot so someone else can grab it…I am sure there will be more than a few waiting

We are fully booked with 20 cars.

If you signed up for one space and plan on having a co-pilot for the run, please let me know. We want to give the vineyards and the restaurant a head count so that they can have proper staffing.
