    Hi,

    New member here!

    A couple of questions..

Anywhere in the Middletown/Hartford area where I can get a decent undercoat for the winter? Someone that knows what they are doing.

    Cosmolene or similar.

    For a 2023 ND.

Also..maybe get an alignment too…where to go?

    Thx for any help!

    Emile

    Hi Emile:

Having spent the last 25 years in the automotive industry here in the Northeast, I can recommend only one company; ZIEBART. They wrote the book on rustproofing, and after trying everything from submarine ion generators to Rusty Jones etc., their process seems to be the one that works best here in upstate (Saratoga) NY. My customers and I use their facility in Albany NY. I got on their locator, and didn’t seed anything near Hartford, which surprised me, but if you can find one close enough, they’re worth it. Loren

    Hi Loren,
    TY for the suggestion!

I used Zeibart on my 1982 Celica back in the day and it worked out great.
But when I checked this summer…there are no close Ziebart vendors anywhere around. The closest is near NYC about 1.5 hrs away.

Maybe I’ll go to Albany as its a nicer drive and I used to live in Troy.

I’m surprised there are not to many options here in CT. I called around and even pro mechanics could not make any suggestions as to good undercoating options.

    Have a great day!

    Cheers,
    Emile

I use an Amsoil product that NAPA sells.  It’s an oily/waxy thing like cosmolene.  Apply once a year.

I use it on the Miata, my plow truck, and the Acty.

My go to guy for alignments is clubmember Bob Madeaux…small one man  shop in Oakville.  I think he has done 6 alignments for me this year after i worked on various clubmember cars

If someone is over in the New York area, then it would be Clubmember Lance Lazarra who has a Midas shop in Mineola
