Somehow we neglected to schedule a ride for the month of September.  I can make this happen.

Looking at the calendar, the weekend of Sept 19/20 is situated 1/2 way between now and the leef Peeping ride on October 4.  and it give me a little more time to lay out a nice 100 mile route and find a place to accomodate a group for lunch

Keep checking here for updates…when I nail it down I will have Angela send out an email with the details

It will start in Middletown area and go on the east side of I-91.  we don’t get out that way often enough so I will come up with something we all can enjoy.  I have several Poker Runs I can use to find some interesting places to go, without repeating an actual Poker Run from the past

We are rapidly running out of good weather opportunities so I will make something happen

Great ride! The weather was absolutely perfect, probably accounting for the larger than planned turnout. And yes, i’d like to ad my thanks to the club members who stepped up and volunteered to lead groups. What a great way to spend half a tank of gas!

WOW!!…what a great turnout today…actually had 26 cars show up for a nice ride thru the countryside… members out for the very first time…long time members stepping up to lead groups…Thank you Peter, Mike and Robin for leading groups…thank you to Bud Wilkinson from and the Waterbury Republican for coming out to talk to me, and other Clubmembers from Litchfield County…just a good day all around.  The Loco Perro restaurant surprised us by opening the downstairs banquet room instead of the outdoor tent with the cool breeze…sheesh!!..I could go on…

I hope everyone had a good time today…I certainly did!!

I am looking  forward to attending my first event with the club tomorrow. Not sure what’s involved in the registration?

Peter took care of it…you are on the list

    see you tomorrow!!

    Fred Wright

There is no link to sign up for this even, for me.  Lisa and I would like to attend.

    Robin Denny

If there is still room, My ’99 will be there with pilot and co-pilot!

    This is coming together…I have a date…Sunday Sept 20…have a start point…

    Guida’s Restaurant

484 Meriden Road, Middlefield, CT 06455

10:30 gathering…first group of cars out at about 11 am

Ride is a little short of 100 miles and will end in East Hampton…lots of ‘interesting’ roads for all to enjoy.  We will be going out in groups of 5 or 6 cars with some spacing between, so I will be looking for a few group leaders, with navigator, that are smarter than a 5th grader!!  There are some areas with somewhat spotty cell service, so the written directions will be your best guide.

The restaurant…(the Club has been here once before)

    Loco Perro
    191 East High St
    East Hampton, CT 06424

has an outdoor tent that they will set aside for our group.. .limited to 36  people

All the usual guidelines…social distancing…tables are for 4 and not to be moved…no service..separate checks

I will continue to nail down the route and timeline after figgering in a rest stop, but we should be at the restaurant between 1:30-2pm

Watch your Club email and the events page for formal signup

Long range forecast is good weather for the weekend
