Hello All, I was wondering if anybody out there with an ND has rev-hang when coming off the throttle to either a sharp turn or a stop and the RPM jumps up to approximately 2000 RPM before settling down. This doesn’t happen all the time only when I’m really getting on the throttle and given it the beans while coming to a stop. It’s not a big deal just seems odd to me.

Well it rarely happens so it doesn’t bother me much. Ist first  I thought the previous owner had installed a peddler booster which can simulate rev-hang if it’s dialed up to high. But I checked and no.

I’ve occasionally noticed my RPM hanging a little high after sharp stops while the engine is cold, but never felt abnormal and goes away once it reaches temperature.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks for your input.Kevin.  Maybe I’m not crazy. When it happens to me the engine has been running warm for quite a while.</p>

Maybe a reflash of your ECM will cure this? My NC used to hesitate on occasion when accelerating from a stop, a dealer remapped my ECM and it seemed to have worked.
