It took me about a year or so to finally fix my ND RF.  Well it is a convertible again!

Is this the thing your Mazda dealer could not figure out?

Car is out of warranty so dealer never saw the car.  I would assume dealer would be able to fix the wiring issue for a good deal of money.

I was ready to dismantle the retractable hardtop control module.  Out of desperation, I pulled each wire from the connector.  Basic 101 physical connectivity testing.

Root cause of this was a very tight wire management clips from the factory.  If you move the wire harness, it will cause the wire to break at the corner junction.

Well done, glad to hear you found the issue. Down to basics. You should post on Miata.net, you’re probably not the only one with, or will have, this issue.

Good idea Dave.  I will see if I can find my original post regarding my RF.

I just want to be clear, my wiring issue is self-induced.  The last time my RF worked was when I upgraded the backup camera and signal wires go through that same area.  Mazda makes reliable cars so if you need to stick your hands in there, please take your time.
