    Hello all,

I bought my first Miata in February and it’s been up on jackstands ever since. It’s a 2004 black cherry mica with 131K miles on it. I’ve been going through it. Too much to list. Getting all of the rust off of it has been the biggest challenge. Front rails have been replaced and working on the quarters and rockers. Hopefully it will look like a Miata when I’m done. Glad to join the club and hope to meet some folks and chat about Miata’s. It certainly is fun to work on. Looking forward to eventually driving it.

Thanks Joe! I’m good with the mechanical stuff. I may need some advice at some point removing the rain rail prior to squirting the rockers and quarters. Also, the rain rail drain tubes are disconnected and apparently crushed at the lower ends. Thinking I will need to replace the entire drain tube. Otherwise going pretty well. Stitch welding in the panels has proven to be a slow and tedious process. I can see why body work is so costly.

    Hey Carl,

Thanks for the info on the car club.  I was the guy you met at Harbor Freight in Bristol back in April-ish.

Hi Chris, Nice to hear from you. I just finished painting my NB after three months of restoration. Hoping to have it on the road soon. Are you considering going to any of the club events? Some of them sound like a lot of fun. Did you say you lived in Bristol? Perhaps I will see you at one of the events. Carl
