Hi all. Recently joined the community as I have read lots of good info on this site, met some members at random car meets and love that you all help each other out over the forums and in person at tech day, what a great idea!

About two years ago my kid and I were looking for a project car and the Miata was a perfect candidate. Quick, light, budget friendly and just a great car to drive around the twisty roads of the nutmeg state.

We hunted for the right trim level that we wanted, which was an NB with the LS or SE trims, including the 6 speed manual.

We found our car in upstate NY, sitting in a barn, a 2003 LS with 6 speed, white with a gold stripe and only 33,000 miles. We picked that up have had an amazing 2 years of fun, and about 12,000 miles of driving.

Our Miata is now boosted, making around 230hp on the dyno at The Shop in Stratford, and we have a blast every weekend driving around the nutmeg state.

We had a blast designing our build, then sourcing all the parts from random vendors and the install itself.

Looking forward to meeting up with this group for spirited drives, tech day, Lime Rock and more.

Please try to have tech day any other time than Mother’s Day weekend, as much as we wanted to go, I did not want to risk my wife castrating me 🙂

Welcome…always good to see someone new that likes to tinker.

Next Tech day is in September…but other activities already on the calendar for the year.

If you happen to hit Lime rock over Memorial day weekend, stop by my campsite…look for the Pumpkin ND…kinda hard to miss

    I
