Another opportunity to come out and just hang out with other car folks. Found this on Miata.net and I got some additional information today, so I am throwing it out there if anyone is interested.

Come join us at Central Park in historic Downtown New Britain where the majestic 120 year old Soldiers and Sailors Monument stands as the backdrop for this popular family event. As in past years, Downtown New Britain will be filled with beautifully preserved classic cars, pristine 50’s era muscle cars and powerful vintage hot rods. Upwards of 200 vintage and classic autos are expected to be on display. NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all exhibitors and attendees are asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing along with following other CDC guidelines.
Ample free parking is conveniently located within a block of the event. This show is all-inclusive and open to Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Antiques and Tuners. Area restaurants along with a DJ will be on hand to keep you fortified and energized for the day’s activities. Numerous trophies will be awarded for cars and motorcycles, as well as a Mayor’s Trophy. A 50/50 raffle will benefit the New Britain Police Explorers Youth Group.

We’d love to have the Nutmeg Miata Club join us this Saturday! It looks like a beautiful day for a car show, and we are expecting a good crowd. Our event is held for the benefit of the New Britain Youth Explorer’s group, and we ask for a “Free Will” donation by the car exhibitors. They always give $10.00, and some give more. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and we give out 21 trophies (18 general, 3 specials-The Explorer Trophy, The Orson “Roy” Rothkopf Memorial Trophy, and the Grand Mayor’s Choice Trophy). We also have door prizes for the car exhibitors. You do have to pre-register, but we ask that you come in around 8AM-9AM to get placed.
no pre register needed…just show up by 8:30-9 for staging
There are a couple of Mnet guys coming to the show, and just for giggles, we are planning on running the Sunday ride on Saturday afternoon…just to make sure the instructions are correct and I can get a better handle on the actual time it will take. Up until now it has bee me riding solo…and I think we all know that my time to do the route is totally different than the time needed with groups of cars.
Maybe I will see you Saturday!!
