I’m going down the rabbit hole of NA8 super charger options and wanted to test the waters before being pummeled on mnet for “not using the search”. Preferably a kit and I plan to do exhaust at the same time. Not really interested in a turbo as I’d rather have the instant power of a SC.

So I’ve been searching a bit and found that FFS seemed to be the solid option but sadly FFS is no longer (at least ATM). Track Dog seems to be the only option at the moment for a kit, about $6k with a megasquirt plus the exhaust and any other parts I may need.

Anyone have any other suggestions on a kit or any push back against getting the Track Dog kit?

    Hi Robert,

The NA8 doesn’t have many SC options. FFS had a proprietary fuel management system that only the owner knew,  it used a 5th injector to cool the fuel charge.  Using another ECU wasn’t an option. No ongoing support, you probably dodged a bullet.  I have concerns about the Rotrex supercharger’s reliability. There’s a company called BOFI Racing UK that has supercharger kits. There’s more support for turbo out there.

Thanks James, agreed with FFS that would have been a bad spot to be in had I been able to grab one a few years back. I apricate the info and will follow up with BOFI, worst case I have to consider a turbo or K swap down the road (which will be much more money and a huge change).

Tom at FFS is retiring….and other unforseen issues with suppliers…Over the years his customer support has been OUTSTANDING.

I’ve also heard only great things about FFS support.  He had to retire sometime.

The old Jackson supercharger kits are available on marketplace sometimes. TDR and rotrex is the only other way to go but has its own issues.  Check out on youtube ‘The Car Passion Channel’, Greg Peters installed the TDR kit.  I think you will spend just as much money and headaches making an SC work as a turbo, and you will have so much more tune-ability with turbo.
