Hi Dan… Been a while, so I can’t remember the exact numbers I had.. But I was able to get the car balanced to within a couple percent.. It was already pretty close to begin with.. I was also able to experiment with purposely applying some negative ‘wedge’ (purposely off-balancing to make the car grip better coming out of right hand turns, which are most of the important ones at the LRP autox…)
It’s also useful just to see where your front/rear weight distribution and overall vehicle weight are..
Hi Robert. Just left you a follow up message on your awesome Axis shootout run on youtube but figured that I’d follow here as well to tie that inquiry to a local, so to speak. How did the corner balancing pads work out? What numbers did you get. I assume that was with the Ohlins. See you this summer. Dan
Yeah, unfortunately a bit too far for me.. Thanks though..
I ended up purchasing my own set of pads since it was about the same price as I was quoted by the only local shop to get back to me. So I guess if anyone needs a corner balance, I have the pads to do it. May not be the most accurate thing in the world, but it’ll be something.
Aahh, Just noticed where you are. Quite a haul from there . 🙁
Steve Farkas at SJF Performance in Schoolhouse Road Oak Ridge NJ. Highly recommended. May be too far from you ; I’m an hour and a half but know people who travel way further as Steve is so highly regarded. You can wait and watch him do it. Great Guy. It’s an educational experience for me every time I’m there. He’s a top autoX guy himself. Google for people loving his work. Cheers, Mike
