Does our club have a hub stand? I’m going to replace my suspension soon and could use it when torquing down the control arm bolts.

Not that I’m aware of. I have always had the car on jack stands and put my jack under the lower control arm, piece of 2×4 doesn’t hurt, and jack it up until it just starts to take weight off the jack stand.

    Thx Dave.

Here is how I might approach it. Leave all bolts loose, lower car and roll back and forth a few times. Then measure ride height (center hub to wheel well), put car back up and do your suggestion to torque. I could ask my heavyset friend to sit in car so that can I avoid lifting off of the stands.

No need for hub stands…do it as Dave suggested…just jack the control arm until the weight comes off then tighten things up

what suspension are you going with?…there are lots of choices out there besides OE

    Thanks guys,

I have a set of Meister CRDs that have been sitting around for two years. I chose them ’cause they’re all prebuilt, adjusted, less than a grand and designed to work with OEM anti sways.
