People have started signing up, thank goodness πŸ™‚ So I figured I should start a thread where people can sign up for tasks they’d like to do on their cars.

Remember, if you’d like to do fluids please be prepared with the fresh fluids and a way to take away the old stuff (probably the same container the fresh stuff came in). I have a Motive bleeder and the connectors to do all generations.Β Brake jobs, radiator swaps, even TB/water pump jobs are frequently done at tech days.

If you have a job you’d like to do, please sign up on this thread. Hopefully members with experience doing that job can chime in and offer to guide that member through the process, and suggest all necessary parts. Β I have a healthy collection of tools, but I can then confirm that all the right tools will be available. There are three bays available so don’t be shy! And if you would like to get started early just let me know, it’s not a problem.

And now for the most important aspect of the day, food! There will be coffee, juice, and nibbles to start. As I mentioned on the event page I had the idea of a variety of meatballs for a lunch idea. Maybe even some falafel as a non-meat-meatball option, so post up if that sounds appealing to you. Bread and green salad to round out the meal. Club provides sodas and water, all else, BYOB. I’m not a big dessert guy, so if a couple people want to offer to bring something, sign up here.

Hopefully we’ll have good weather, but if not, lots of room to congregate inside, screened porch etc.

Looking forward to a great day.

Sorry for the confusion! This is my first event with the new system. I had 40 spaces available, but only ten tickets! It should be fixed now. Please try and reserve your ticket.

I was asked to post up some ideas of what to bring:

Of course your beverage of choice if the soda and water the club will provide does not fill the bill.

    Chips and dip?

Any other brilliant ideas for snacky type finger food?

Green salad, or maybe a Waldorf salad would be fun

    Cookies

    Bar type dessert?

Don’t feel limited to my suggestions, if you want to bring something that works well at this type of gathering, by all means- Bring it!

I would like to do a brake fluid replacement. I have 130,000 miles on my ’13 NC, so it’s way overdue.

Don’t know what to expect since the clutch shares the same system. I will do some research and hopefully will be more informed by the tech day.

    Mike

Bleed the clutch the same way you would bleed a brake caliper. The only difference on an NC vs NB is that you will need to pull the clutch pedal up from the floor with your hand when the bleeder screw is cracked open.

    Hey there Dave et All!

I would like to replace my accessory belts and tighten up my e-brake cable. I would also like to try and trouble shoot the clunking noise that seems to be coming from the passenger side front wheel area.

I would be happy to bring a dessert item or a salad depending on what is needed!

    Cheers,

    -Jordan

Thanks Dave for a great day! Β The meatball lunch was tasty, and all the other food was delicious too.

Thanks to everyone that helped to fix my NB, master cylinder replaced and all is working perfect now πŸ™‚

Nice weather today too, can’t ask for anything more
