Car is out of warranty so dealer never saw the car.  I would assume dealer would be able to fix the wiring issue for a good deal of money.

I was ready to dismantle the retractable hardtop control module.  Out of desperation, I pulled each wire from the connector.  Basic 101 physical connectivity testing.

Root cause of this was a very tight wire management clips from the factory.  If you move the wire harness, it will cause the wire to break at the corner junction.
