Labor Day Parade – Miss America Organization
A very interesting email landed in my inbox on Monday offering the Club an opportunity to participate in the MISS AMERICA PAGEANT 100th ANNIVERSARY Celebration Parade.
The Miss America Organization and our own Miss Connecticut, Sapna Raghavan, are looking for 50 convertibles to participate in a parade in Mystic, CT on Monday September 6. Which happens to be Labor Day. I know, short notice, holiday weekend, people have plans, etc,etc. But there has to be some people that can help out and be in Mystic at 8am on Labor Day for a 10 am parade. Just think, you might have the next Miss America in YOUR car!!.
This is just the basic information that I have gotten since Monday afternoon, and did not get the actual date and time until Wednesday mid-day. As a bonus, Sapna Raghavan, Miss Connecticut, has agreed to pitch this IN PERSON on August 15 at the start of our Poker Run.
The Organization is looking for as many commitments ASAP.
What this all boils down to is we are looking for 50 cars on Labor Day, one for every state for a Miss America parade. If you sign up, please show up!
