Smooth recently paved back country roads added to the pleasure of the club’s 8/3/19 run through the Grandville -Westfield MA region just north of the CT line. ( Missing from the group photo are the Amatos , Pete Delmastro and Abby, and photographer Reginia Ekmalian)
Apply named “Turns, Twists and Loops” , the Ekmalians lead us on a circuitous route through twisty forested lanes. The club’s good weather luck held with a perfect summer day as we zoomed down into valleys and up and around hillsides with spectacular views of the Berkshire foothills.
The run concluded at a restaurant overlooking the regional airport where noticing the ominous thunderclouds gathering overhead the club members reluctantly raised their tops. A brief rain shower dampened no ones spirits as we enjoyed food and beverages undercover on the restaurant’s upper deck while watching light aircraft and regional jets take off and land. After lunch, several members set off to continue their adventures with … no surprise…
😉 … a drive to sample the best ice cream in the region.
